Fastest Growing Zip Codes of 2023

The Jacksonville Business Journal also reflected on real estate in 2023 with their article on the fastest growing zip codes of 2023.  Ponte Vedra Beach, 32082, topped the list as the fastest growing zip code last year.  Jacksonville Beach, 32250, wasn’t too far behind at number five.

What does it cost to buy a home in the fastest growing zip codes?  According to a Zillow report in July 2023, the average single-family home in Ponte Vedra Beach cost $846,734 and the same in Jacksonville Beach was $611,636, according to the article.

Billionaires Move to Miami

If those numbers seem high, look further south as Billionaires flock to Miami.  As a result, Miami penthouses have soared as high as $60 million.  This is not much of an outlier as a unit at Miami’s first Supertall Tower is listed at $50 million and a celebrity penthouse is listed at $42.5 million.  Compared to South Florida’s climbing prices, Jacksonville stands out as a true Florida gem for affordability.  Read more about the affordability of Jacksonville in our recent article here.

2023’s Most Expensive Home Sold for $190 million

If Miami’s luxury real estate doesn’t impress you, then this one is for you– the most expensive home purchased in 2023.  According to The Wall Street Journal it was a Malibu mansion that topped the charts at a stunning $190 million.  It’s no big surprise that it was one of America’s favorite power couples, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who bought the magnificent property.

2024 Interest Rates

For those of us who don’t fall into the upper echelons of the real estate market, we waited all last year for interest rates to drop.  Right now, we have the next best thing—the Fed leaving rates unchanged.  We’ll take it, and hope that predictions for cuts in 2024 are accurate.
