The best week of the year to sell your home is upon us. According to an analysis performed by Realtor.com, the week of April 14- 20 is the best week of the entire year to sell your home.
The analysis found that the week of April 14-20 offers the following benefits:
1. Above average prices. Homes listed during April 14-20 are typically priced “10.4% higher than the start of the year”, per Jacksonville Business Journal.
2. Buyer demand is higher during the spring.
3. Faster time to sell. “Overall, homes during this week sell about 17% faster than the average week during the year, or about nine days quicker”, as reported in the Jacksonville Business Journal.
4. Less competition. Although home prices continue to increase over the summer, there is also higher inventory on the market during that time. April 14-20 offers less competition for sellers.
5. Fewer price reductions. Price reductions are 24.6% less likely to occur during this particular week in April when compared on average to all other weeks of the year, according to the Realtor.com data analysis.
